Two national retailers are closing stores in Barberton!!!

Big Lots in Magic City Shopping Center next to Marc’s is going to close unless something drastic occurs at the corporate level in Columbus. The retailer is a Columbus based company. They announced that the company is closing all 1400 stores nationwide.

Rite Aid on Johnson Corners is going to close. The company is in bankruptcy and will close all stores in Michigan and Ohio. Walgreen brought the Prescription Files of all closed Rite Aids. Your Rite Aid prescriptions will transfer to Walgreens at the corner of State and Wooster rd North., the other end of town.

But you can take your Rite Aid bottles with refills to any Pharmacy and they will transfer the Prescription to that store. Expect to drop it off and pick it up the next day as requests take time as the workload at Walgreens suddenly increases. You can transfer now to avoid the time delays.

Rite Aid is exiting bankruptcy with 1300 stores having closed about 1000 stores. Several Lenders and two Wall Street Funds will own the new company. They receive Equity instead of debt payment.
