Barberton News Tidbits!

1. Kave has taken over another 150 sq. feet from the movie theater, which will allow Kave to have a better kitchen.

2. The Beacon Journal reports about 50 legal refugees will be relocated to Barberton!

  3.  O.C. Barber  never liked Democrats.  O. C. would be happy today since the Republicans have 5 out of 8 council majority, and the council President, Justin Greer, to break a tie.

   4.   Angelo Gotto, an 8th grader and the son of Coach Gotto, went to the state middle school championships and finished 7th with a broad jump of 19 feet.

   5. Barberton Basketball is attempting to add 8 difficult non-conference games for next season.

  6. Barberton football will open with Wadsworth at home, Stow on the road, and South Range near Canfield on the road. They were Division 5 champs a few years ago.  Home games and most away games will be streamed, free of charge.

  7. Graduation is May 24 at the Starkey stadium. If it rains, indoors at the gym. Do you remember graduating in the old, hot Greynolds gym? Later classes got to go to E.J. Thomas for their diplomas!!

  8. Do not forget the Barberton Farmers’ Market opens Tuesday May 28th. The new location is near the YMCA on Newell. Parking lot!!

 9. The Coffee Pot is for sale. 101 years old!! 

A friend heard that Deb Shreiner has the Coffee Pot for sale, and the friend paused and asked, “Is it a Kuerig?”!!
