Magics look Good in Football scrimmage!

Barberton has an inexperienced team but the Magics defeated Buchtel in a scrimmage 1-0. Defense looks much improved. Wadsworth players and coaches were at the scrimmage scouting the Magics!! Magics play Wadsworth at home on August 23.

Ayden Tritt was the starting QB , but Mark Tavenello saw plenty of action at QB too! Avion and Sean Wright were powerful runners. Both backs are around 200lbs. The offense looked like an early season work in progress. Defense looked really good. Very physical and fast. The offense line is much improved.

Coach Gotto wants to stop the run and run the ball more this season. Angelo Gotto dislocated his ankle in practice this past week. Next scrimmage is Thursday at 6pm at Ellet. The offensive line is anchored by junior Brice Crowe, 6’3″ 245lbs. The defensive line is big and fast. The players have a great attitude and are very young. Two Seniors start on the offensive line , along with a sophmore, and two juniors.

The team has 35 freshmen, 5 sophmores, and 6 seniors with a lot of juniors. Support the Magics on August 23 at Magic Mayhem in the Middle School parking lot. Starts at 4pm. Plenty of food vendors. Remember, senior citizens get in free for games at home.
